Walking the fine line of being a working editor and trainer.

Looking at my current, eclectic skills set after eight years of
Final Cut Pro, the program is still at the heart of my workflow. The complete magic Bullet Sweet including Looks and Colorista extend the in house finishing capabilities of FCP. Finishing touches with Color and Motion. Delivery for web, tv & cineama with DVD Studio Pro, Compressor and Cinema Tools.

Learning to edit on an ancient
Steenbeck editing table fourteen years ago, provided me with a rock solid foundation for my current skills set. Back then most of the programs that I´m using today would have been unthinkable!

Yes, Avid was in it´s infancy, there was a clunky Premiere 3.5 and of course lets not forget
Lightworks with it´s shark logo. Further there were also two and three machine editing systems, Super VHS, Beta-SP, Hi8 and vision mixers with funky dissolves.

Today I can do pretty much about anything on my lap top, which back then would have involved a complete studio with millions of euros of equipment and dozens of personnel.

Online and offline work flows. With or with out own edit suite. Mini DV through too 4k!

On set DIT for P2 or RED Data management & back up to LTO Tape. FCP & Color round triping. Wrangeling data with proxies, crimson and Cineform Intermediates etc.

Editor, Trainer and last but by no means least, work flow speacilst for
RED One.
