Crash of a life time August 2009

I have been sitting a lot in Motion recently.
Working on a slick little Template with 3D elements.
Am nearly there. Currently 2.5D level of understanding.
Anyway motion crashed on me. See picture.
Every thing froze up. Nerve racking stuff with Motion Drop Zones.
Seems all very buggy. FCP 6.06 and motion 3 something.
This happened at the large internet video portal where I work.
It is a so called special project. In short complicated.
Nothing lost in the process. Working with lots of copies.
With many layers of dealing with the process.
Understanding how Motion functions, how to manage a project and work with unpredictable drop zones!
Not to mention the human element.
Next week I have an FCP training with FCP 7 material for the first time.
Need to go back to school and check out the new features :-)
finalBUG Xmas Diner

I love the final BUG christmas dinners. through a strange twist of fate we meet in an office where there wasn´t even an internet connection. Our host was having problems with their provider!
Needless to say the hard core final BUG people turn up. But then there are the people who never come to meetings but as soon as they get a whiff of food they are suddenly banging down the door. So new faces as well.
Got to talk to a crazy bunch of people, from producers, directors, editors, animation freaks and even a Nuke expert.
Many thanks to Matt Lehitka from Die Republik who provided us with a kitchen, an amazing location and good company.
